Zeta C1 Plus

Hi everyone! haha i wonder who actually view my blog.. hahaha anyway at last i finished up Zeta C1 plus.. i got this kit like 2 yrs back i think.. i rem i used her voucher to buy together wif sgt keroro haha sure bring back some memories..

Anyway hope u guys like the pics n model..

Changed the color scheme abit.. all grey is damn ugly.. aha hmm the decal from this kit is horrible also.. so took some decal fm my other kits..

Change the gattling gun at the head to metal part. I wanted the kit to b 03.. but then i ruin the 03 one zzzz left wif 02

the weapon is damn long lo..

did some light shading.. first time attempt to do shading..

seriously i prefer the kit w/o the jetpack n wings.. looks like more fierce.. n got the fighter look

Yo ppl!! I"VE SUCCESSFULLY GRADUATED FROM NTU!!!! BANZAI!! BANZAI!!! lol man i was damn worried when the result were release.. really thank god for helping me!! haha hmm ok so here are some updates

The humidity has been quite high lately.. so i stopped my sprayign for Zeta C1.. the compressor has too much water vapor.. zzz so i started fixing up my Shin Musha!! Man i am totally amazed with the articluation of Musha.. it is amazing.. maybe coz this is my 2nd MG Kit.. seriously this kit is worth every single cent u paid for it!!

the legs articulation for this kit is good! plus the mod i do to the torso and arm haha manage to achieve this pose.. it would have been nicer if the torso could bend forward more.. guess thats the limitation to my skills.. hope tallgeese will be better!

this the limit of how much it can bend forward.. i wish i can achieve whitebase standard. his torso mod is damn power.. can say is flawless.. mine has alot of flaws

i mod the arm joint to be a ball joint to have better articulation..

YO.. its saturday.. and i'm at home.. rotting.. haha so decided to take some pics n update my blog abit..

At last!! i brought my shin musha!! OMG the more i c this kit the more i love it!!

i see the number of parts.. i start to have nightmares!! but i still love this kit!!

AH! AT last also i got my hands on this kit! WING GUNDAM VER KA haha all time fav!

the parts are lesser than Musha.. heng.. but its not going to be an easy build though..

brought this 2 books from one of the plamo guys.. very interesting.. but i dun understand a single word written in it.. i should get a JAP gf to translate for me haha

hmm did some sanding this morning.. my desk is quite messy ah

haha rework of my SD gundam.. damn old liao man this kit.. haha just apply cement.. waiting for sanding..

This point onwards will be some sneak preview of my current WIP.

GAIA gundam!! could have completed this kit last wk! but i missed out some parts for spraying!! zzz so gotta wait till.. duno when.. haha so jsut some preview of it

i did a torso and upper body mod for this.. as u can see the torso i separate it into 3 sections.. hmm i followed closely to whitebase WIP guide.. hmm but my skill is far fm his.. hmm next to do more torso mod!!

i removed the original shoulder connector and replace with a ball joint to improve the articulation

i should have boarden the shoulder area.. its so.. out of portion haiz too late..

but overall i'm quite satisfied with the mod i done to the kit.. stay tune for the post on GAIA where i will post more detail WIP n action pose haha

ZETA C1 PLus!! hmm all the parts are ready for priming.. hmm going the change the color scheme abit.. hmm kp in suspense first.. so enjoy the pics! didnt do any mod on it coz its a MG kit..

haha that's all for HEAVY ARMS haha didn't open up the chest shoulder and leg ammuntion compartment.. coz i screw up over there haha it's horrible haha

Overall this kit still ok.. have a hard time doing the rework and touchup haha saem as the gouf.. the thing that i'm most unsatisfied with is the frost on some parts and the panel lining.. damn i need more practise on panel lining man..

i have 2 WIP now.. Zeta C1 Plus and Gaia.. haha my 1st MG kit Zeta C1.. i stop that for now.. MG really requires alot of work man.. haha as for Gaia.. i did a major op on it haha now facing some prob also haha hope it will turn out well haha

Improvised wheel truing stand

Yo.. hmm as the last post u see that i place the wheel on the fork.. that way u can only catch the straightness of the wheel.. so what u can do to ensure the roundness of the wheel is as seen in the pic

using some blue-tac and a pencil or anything straight, stick it onto the frame..

there you go.. improvised wheel truing stand.. hmm of coz how round and how straight the wheel depends on how sharp yr eyes is ^-^

Changing my bicycle hub

Yo.. today gonna post something different.. hmm for those who want to change their bicycle hub on their own or those who are interested to know how about bicycles parts, Please note that this is not a tutorial but my blog post.. ok.. before i start.. My 10 yrs old cannondale.. the hub has been with me ever since i brought the bike.. man.. super lasting! its time for me to change before it really..... mayb next time when i got time i start another post on servicing hub.. then you can see how bad the condition of my hub is hehe Just some pic of my old hub... Close up of the hub.. Ok.. now lets start.. First of all .. let's introduce the tools!! thanks hao for lending me his tool set Think he brought the tool set at giant or carrefour.. cant rem.. the set comes with the essential tools for basic servicing. (for normal bikes only.. for bike with chris king hubs or white industries etc etc high end hubs.. pls get the tools from the agent or just send for servicing ) the tool set comes with.. allen keys.. spoke wrench.. open end wrenches.. bottom bracket tool.. chain tool.. cassette lockring tool.. sprocket remover.. spanner.. screw driver.. etc etc for changing of hubs, you will only need the following tools: adjustable spanner (top), spoke wrench (mid left), cassette lockring tool (mid right), sprocket remover (bottom) OK!!next will be to use the spoke wrench and loosen all spokes!! wonder why this spoke wrench comes with so many sizes haha can even use on motorbikes..

Size 15 the right one.. ( note: clockwise = loosen, counter clockwise = tighten )

ok.. as seen in the above pic, unscrew the "nipple" and you will can remove the spokes..

( note: nipple is the technical term for that nut.. dun believe pls go wiki )

thats for the front wheel.. as for the rear wheel, there is an extra step before you can remove the spokes.

ok.. as you can see:

1) Wrap the sprocket remover around the cassette (or layman term - gear) 2) Lock the cassette lockring tool..

3) Lock the adjustable spanner onto the cassette lockring tool

4) Turn counter clockwise to release the cassette. a close-up view so you can see better.. oh ya.. btw in the pic.. i wrap the sprocket remover the opp way haha paiseh paiseh ^-^ if you follow the way i wrap in the pic you can never release it haha

ok once you loosen the cassette lockring, remove the cassette

man.. my cassette is damn dirty.. haha time for a wash with kerosene!!

Ok.. this is what you would except to see after you remove everything!!

Remove is easy.. the next step is going to be a big headach!!

Firstly let me introduce my new hub!!! shimano XT hub!! haha got it at a gd deal at rodalink.. i save more than 50% off the standard retail price haha also.. a cateye front light.. haiz my previous cateye has a battery leak.... and cant on anymore.. argh.. Pay more attention from this step onwards coz it can be quite confusing..

ok.. for my case.. its a 36 spokes rim.. so i have 36 spokes 18 each side.. as seen in the pic, the spokes are placed alternate. (1 up 1 down)

this is what you will see after you finish one side.. once you get both side done up.. it is damn messy..

Once both side of the spokes are place, its time to put it onto the rim.

as you know.. the wheels spokes are criss crossing each other.. what i doing here is call the "cross-6" if i not wrong.. at least thats what i'm taught haa there are many other different type of crosses also.. but since i only know this.. haha i can only show this..

1)Pick any of the spoke that are vertically downwards (count that as spoke no.1)

2)Pick (clockwise) the no.6 spoke (the no.6 spoke will always be the horizontal ones)

3)Cross no.1 over no.6 (another way to rem is bottom over top)

4) From the tire tube hole, the first hole clockwise, place the spokes in the lock it with the spoke nipples. ( as seen in the pic, the spokes are placed in alternate holes)

5)Repeat the steps and you will get this!!!

ok.. your front hub is changed!!

Next repeat what you do on the rear wheel.

After you are done with the spokes, place back the cassette and lock it.. this time round hand tighten will do.

wonder if you are thinking why my cassette is so small haha you are right! coz i'm not using mountain bike cassette.. what you see is the road bike cassette haha.. durace ones.. lol

OK!!

the next step will be the most headach and irritating part..

Truing your wheel!!!

Actually you are suppose to place the wheel set on the Truing stand.. its a equipment that enable you to true you wheel more precise.

if you are like me.. don't have a truing stand, what you can do is..

Just place the wheel onto your fork.. and true it accordingly lo.. this is not precise and really straining to your eyes..

for me i use the brakes as a rough gauge.. haha thats not the right way.. but.. make do with what i have ba hahaha

so that's all!!! once the truing is done, you can go and enjoy yr ride with your new hub!!!!

Wip: updates on heavy arms

hmm just an update on heavy arms..

hmm most of the parts are painted.. left the weapons.. some decal and top coat..
didn't do a gd paint work on heavy arms.. kinda disappointed.. hope the next one will be better..

will post more action pic when i've completed the whole model..

EXAM!! n my EOS 450D!!!

Yo.. long time since my last post haha exam period now.. total 7 papers!! WTF rite.. final yr still have to take so many papers.. zzzz i just took 3 papers consecutively on wed thurs fri.. hell man.. damn tiring.. next paper will be thurs n fri.. man.. another killer combo haiz

Anyway i just brought my 1st DSLR!! WAHAHA Canon EOS 450D haha burnt a big hole in my pocket..

Total damage: 1134(cam) + 118(dry cab) = $1252!!

Brought the standard kit: 1 x body, 1 x 18-15mm EF IS lens, 1 x 4gb SDHC, 1 x extra batt, 1 x bag

yet to buy a screen protector.. gotta get it soon.. my face is damn oily..

DIGICAB Dry cabinet.. comes with 5 yrs warranty.

Heavy arms: hmm started spraying the colors.. but stop due to exam.. hopefully to finish it after my exam end.. will post more pic of it when its done..

WAHAHA at last!! my own spray booth now i can OTOT spray at night in my room!! haha

hmm brought the centrifugal blower and aluminum tube from hean lee at kelantan there.. n the black plastic cardboard from popular

hmm tried to cut out the shape of the blower n stuffs.. n finally after an hr of struggle.. its done!!

front view.. hmm the box abit out of shape haha but nvm la first time

side view.. hmm this view looks better haha looks a tv to mi haha

hmm did a small support to support the weight of the blower..

overall view the shape is horrible haha

total dmg.. 42+7=$49 haha

hmm 3 more wks to exam.. haiz.. after exam i will full time into gunpla!!! part time FYP haha

Singapore Grand Prix - F1 rocks!!

WOHOO!! F1 is amazing!! this time it's here in singapore.. singapore has done it again.. down in history with F1 first night race..
gotta thank my uncle if not for him i wun b able to experience it haha though its only a practise run.. i could already feel the tension of the race, smell of burning rubber and the "live" feel of F1 race haha it is simply AMAZING.. unforgetable experience haha

Ok.. walking down the road i went to the PIT GRANDSTAND.. though there is no race at that moment..i could imagine the sunday nite when either F alonso, lewis or Massa coming in the finish line.. the atmosphere is gg to.. WOW..

Now for some action!! hmm this is not F1 but Formula BMW.. i tot it was cool but when i watch the F1 this Formula BMW is "chey" but still they are quite fast.. i took 10 shots to get this pic ahaha all the 9 shots are "blank" zzz whre is my DSLR!!!!

There the Aston Martin asia cup lining up to move out to starting grid.. there are a few singaporean drivers too.. haha like the one below.. even got a sg flag on top of it.. haha

Its about time for F1 1st practise run!! took my seat at BAY GRANDSTAND.. skyline of CBD area.. trying out manual mode of my camera.. hmm try out different shutter speed and aperture.. can tell the difference?

the F1 is.. TOO FAST!!! the sound is deafening!! its is totally different from porsche, aston or formula BMW.. omg.. F1 is out of the world..

When i manage to capture one F1 close up.. the pic is too dark!!!

ok.. GIVE UP on taking pic.. decided to take some video instead haha not v clear though.. whree is my DSLR!!!! ARGH

F1 zoom pass just abt 2-3 m away from me.. OMG the sound is F. LOUD!!! the ear plugs are useless.. can even feel the vibration of the sound wave gg thru your body.. u have to experience it yourself..

got this damn deep cut yest when i was troubleshooting my fyp.. duno y the cutter suddenly move.. mayb coz i accidentally trigger the sensor.. zzz didnt really feel pain at that moment.. blood jsut kp gushing out lol..

WOHOOO my new hoot!! got it yest at Mworkshop hmm wanted to get F-14 but someone brought all 6 of it from the shop the day b4!! WTH.. gotta wait til next fri b4 they restock..

anyway F-16 is the last one haha so i took it b4 its sold out

the box.. quite small.. total damage: $12.90

hmm duno y when i load up the pic it turn upright.. anyway this the instruction manual n decal

for the amount of plastic used..12.90 its kinda ex.. but its cute haha hmm quite surprice there are 2 decal.. nice..

the idiot proof manual.. its so damn ez that you can build the plane w/o even looking at the manual hahah hmm jsut by putting them tog.. hmm took abt 15 mins.. then abt another 20-30 mins to remove the seamlines..

this is not a snap n go model.. hmm you will need glue or cement to glue then tog
hmm i use blue tag to fix them tog as i will b spraying them separately.

oh ya.. the plane comes with a pilot too lol

Overall feel for this eggplane series.. hmm easy to build.. hard to give it a "wow" feel haha as the model lacks detailing but the decal makes up for it..

It would be a wonderful present for all ages.

AT LAST i got my primer mixed!! thanks serene!!! for the "pi pa gao" bottle haha hmm owe u lunch though -_-.. the primer is mixed with thinner ratio 1:1 wonder how many model will it last..

hmm wanted to start spraying the 2 WIP model but i havent set up my spray booth this few days kp on rain rain rain.. hmm too wet.. might affect the color.. haiz hope for sunny day soon!

since no WIP i shall post the models i have yet to fixed!! lol it is damn addictive.. just buy n buy n buy even though i stil have.... i'm running out of space to kp them!!!!

hmm lots of 1/144 hg.. fm seed series.. so tempted to buy the 00 series!! but no place to kp liao.. hmm there is my first 1/100 MG kit!! Zeta!! hmm also the 1/60 damn BIG force impulse gundam!!

The biggest box lol also the most ex!! hmm its 1/144 meteor unit.. simply love it!!

WIP: Heavy Arms!!

Hmm Gundam wing series was the anime that spark the interest in gunpla for me.. i was so crazy over it that i collected the whole wing series gundam haha i got 9 models on gundam wing series haha

got this model like when i was in sec sch.. it was one of my fav gundam.. damn power with lots of fire power..

Didnt really know much abt gunpla at that time so just cut n snap.. blah blah blah gd thing i nv use any glue.. haha now then i notice my cutting is horrible.. i'm having alot of trouble sealing up those holes n seamlines with putty now haha and sanding sanding sanding.. alot alot of sanding to cover up the mistake i did last time haha

this the pic of the manual.. but mine is 1/100 NG.. not HG..

this was in the wing series the first heavy arms.. i love this color scheme so most prob will b using this color. wonder how it will turn out lol

NOT ENOUGH PRIMER!!! zzz luckily i finish priming the parts before the primer runs out

hmm a rough fixed up of the body of heavy arms.. i have no idea y the proportion of the wing series is so off.. the leg is so damn long and the body is so short.. thinking of extending the body abit but.. 2nd tot.. think i just go with the original..
still can see some seamlines.. tat would mean more sanding!!! OMG..

some parts have to be modified for ease of painting.. hmm i did a few mod to the head, shoulder n the weapons..

hmm as seen, i remove the plastic parts in the head itself, n cut up the eye part.

this is one of the weapon part. it is fixed to the side skirt. hmm it is movable.

the working mechanism is something like a T-slot. so wat i did was to cut off the T joint and enlarge the hole. in this way, the weapon can b fixed onto the side skirt w/o dropping off while moving.

the arms are white while the shoulder are red.. hmm its gg to one hell of a masking if i dun do anything.. hmm as seen in the pic, i make a slot at the circular part.

hmm after the color is up, all u need to do is to push the arm into the slot made.

hmm thats all for the update now.. hmm looking fwd to get my airbrush n compressor

then i can start spraying the colors

but my gouf will come first.. haha b4 working on this heavy arms any further..

hmm orginal head comes with the hose fitting.. hmm but decided to go w/o it.. haha
so gotta seal up the gaps

after curing of expoy putty.. time for sanding!!
first the mouth part..

then the back of the head..

Its done!!

Next will be up the Primer to c whether there is any uneven surface.
but i ran out of primer!! gotta pay HAG a visit.. hmm wan to get the compressor also haha

hmm.. i extend the body and foot abit longer.. n make the head looks fiercer n sharper..
hmm.. next will b spraying.. still thinking using the original colors or custom..
But first.. need to get my compressor n airgun first.. still short of $$ haha
